Give lab users an easy, visual and mobile-friendly way to book equipment that keeps track of availability, reduces conflicts, and helps teams plan work with confidence.

Users see real-time availability and can reserve any instrument you allow them to, from 1 to 20 at a time.

Set the preferred start date and time, then Calira uses AI to look for availability and books the entire workflow. Go from cell culture to purified protein in a single booking request.

Set up custom forms to capture data from lab users, like run parameters, incident reports, calibration certificates—or anything else you need.

Apply lab-specific rules to govern who can book what, when and for how long. Fair access, every time, for those who need it.

Print auto-generated QR codes that users can scan directly on their phones whenever they need to book quickly, or on the go.

Build a structured, searchable directory of your lab equipment and enrich it with metadata, location information, and purchase price.
Make availability clear to lab users, let teams book shared instruments with confidence, and avoid double bookings.

Give your team the visibility and control to reduce idle time and maximise usage across shared equipment.

Prevent downtime through visible maintenance tracking, safer access, and smarter user controls.

Make confident decisions with clean usage data so you can see what's being used, what isn't, where, and why.
Turn lab usage data into a structured foundation: exportable, filterable, and ready for integration with your ELN, AI, or BI platforms.
Users click the instrument on the lab dashboard or directly in the calendar, then click and drag to select a time slot and press Confirm. They can book a single instrument or up to five at once by ticking the boxes next to multiple pieces of equipment on the left side of the calendar.
Yes. Calira's lab equipment booking system is mobile-friendly, so users can book directly from a phone browser. You can also print auto-generated QR codes and attach them to instruments; users scan the code with their phone to jump straight into the booking flow.
Yes. You can set rules individually per user, or more commonly through access groups: grouping users and equipment together, then applying rules. Groups are the recommended approach for most labs.
Yes. Workflows let users book several instruments in the right sequence for a given protocol in a single request. Set the preferred start time and Calira's AI looks for availability across the required instruments, then books the whole workflow.
Yes. If a user finishes earlier than planned, they can end the booking early so the equipment becomes available for others. Admins control whether this is enabled for the lab in the account settings.

We know that every lab is different. Our team has years of experience in the lab and can answer any question you have and demo the whole platform in less than thirty minutes.
